Based on true events, KINKY BOOTS tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits his father's ailing British shoe factory WJ Brooks. The factory is about to close when he meets the dazzling drag queen Lola by chance. An extraordinary friendship develops - and a daring business idea to save the company: High heels for strong personalities - a new line of shoes especially for drag queens, travesty artists and cross-dressers who need particularly sturdy footwear that is also fashionable. Cyndi Lauper was already looking back on a long global career when she was asked if she would write songs for a musical for the first time - and for a musical about a shoe factory in the English countryside that makes shoes for drag queens. She accepted immediately and in 2013 became the first woman to win the Tony Award for “Best Music”, as well as a Grammy Award for the show's album.

“KINKY BOOTS “ is an energetic musical with a powerful message about tolerance, courage and being different. Due to the thematic content and the original English language, we recommend attendance from the age of 12. Younger audience members are welcome, provided they are accompanied by an adult and are open to socially relevant topics such as identity, diversity and self-acceptance.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
(According to § 5, paragraph (9) of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of ATG Ticketing & Sales GmbH and the ATG production companies for the purchase of tickets by the organizer (Event GTC), children under the age of 3 are not permitted to enter the theater).
A security check may be carried out at the entrance. The security service is instructed by the organizer to carry out searches of clothing and bags if necessary. The organizer reserves the right to refuse admission for good cause (against reimbursement of the ticket price). The admission ticket entitles the holder to one visit to the event stated on the ticket. The ticket loses its validity upon leaving the venue.
Please note that photography and filming is strictly prohibited during the performance. If unauthorized recordings are made, the theater staff will be instructed to delete them.
