About Gilda-Nancy Horvath

Gilda-Nancy Horvath (born 1983 in Vienna) is an Austrian journalist, author, project manager and musician, and a member of the Lovara Roma. At European level she is a committed advocate against antigypsyism and for the visibility and self-determination of Sinti and Roma. Horvath has worked for many years in public service broadcasting and international journalism (ORF, Deutsche Welle Europa). For Deutsche Welle she created, among other things, the widely noted portrait series Glaso – Voice, for which she received the Council of Europe's Journalism Excellence Prize for Ethical Reporting in 2024.
